Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the organization of the 2nd edition of its global forum under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The forum will be held under the slogan of “Vision of the future”, at Al-Masa hotel in the new Administrative Capital (NAC).
The event will be attended by a galaxy of Arab and foreign higher education and scientific research ministers, heads of universities, international centers, institutes and research bodies, as well as heads of some international and regional organizations.
The participants’ list also includes heads of accreditation and international quality assurance bodies, a group of Arab and foreign ambassadors, and the board of directors of the Royal Society of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Scotland, in addition to a large number of those who are interested in this field from all over the world.
This forum comes in implementation of president’s Sisi directives to pay attention to youth and prepare them to cope with future changes in the recruitment process.
The forum will discuss the role of higher education institutions and scientific research in preparing and qualifying students and young researchers for future jobs, in addition to the needs of local and international labor markets, in light of rapid changes in employment skills and the demand for labor.
On his part, Dr. Mohamed El-Tayyeb, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Executive Director of the forum said that this platform will tackle a number of important issues, including, compatibility and adaptation of the workforce for future generations, the 4th industrial revolution, labor market dynamics, indicators of the recruitment process, employment priorities from the point of view of businessmen, the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in supporting the economy through continuity and flexibility in the recruitment process.
Moreover, the forum sessions are expected to address preparations for the establishment of the 1st national conference for medical education with the participation of distinguished international personalities in this field.
