Egypt One of Fastest Growing Economies Worldwide -WEF

The World Economic Forum (WEF) Chairman Borge Brenda praised Egypt's progress at all levels, especially in the economic field, in conjunction with the Egyptian government's adoption of economic and legislative reforms to improve the investment climate.

Brenda said that economic reforms have contributed significantly to improving the investment climate, pointing out that Egypt is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

This came during a meeting with Egyptian Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr during her visit to the Swiss city of Geneva.

On her part, Nasr presented all the economic, legislative, structural and institutional reforms undertaken by the Egyptian government during the last period to improve the investment climate, which would enhance investor confidence in the Egyptian economy.

She  pointed out that the Egyptian government has worked to establish an attractive climate for local and foreign investors to boost economic growth and support Egypt's competitiveness, as well as encouraging the private sector to pump new investments especially in light of the ongoing mega projects undertaken by the government in the areas of infrastructure.
