Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, held phone talks, on Saturday, with Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman.
This came within the framework of ongoing consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries regarding the latest regional developments.
The call addressed the accelerating escalation in the region and the grave risks it poses to regional security and stability, as well as the regional efforts exerted for de-escalation and a return to negotiations.
The two ministers stressed the need to reduce escalation and prevent the region from sliding into further tension and a wider circle of conflict.
Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of returning to the path of negotiations and political solutions as the optimal way to address the current crises, agreeing to maintain close coordination and consultation between the two countries during the coming period to support efforts aimed at containing the escalation and promoting security and stability in the region.
