Egypt Offers Condolences to Pakistan over Deadly Train Crash

Egypt expressed its deepest condolences, and sympathy to Pakistan over the deadly train crash, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of passengers on Monday. 

 

In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt's solidarity and support for the government and people of Pakistan in this painful incident.

 

It is worth mentioning that, at least 30 people were killed and more than 40 others were injured as two passenger trains collided today at dawn in the southern Pakistani province of Sindh.

 

Pakistani media reported that the accident occurred at the ” Ghotki” railway station in Sindh province.

Ghotki Deputy Commissioner Usman Abdullah the 14 vehicles overturned, while the relief teams rushed to the scene of the accident to help get the passengers stuck in those vehicles out and take them to hospitals.

 

A state of emergency was declared in the region’s hospitals in anticipation of a high death toll in the coming hours.
