Egypt on Sunday expressed condolences to China following a coal mine explosion in Shanxi Province that killed dozens of people.
In a statement, the Egyptian government extended its “deepest condolences and sincere sympathies” to the Chinese government and people over the victims of the incident.
Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity and support for China during what it described as a painful tragedy, while also wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the explosion.
The blast occurred at a coal mine in Shanxi Province and resulted in dozens of fatalities, according to Chinese reports.
