Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with CEO of Norway’s Scatec Terje Pilskog, Ambassador of Norway in Egypt H.E. Hilde Klemetsdal, and Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker on Thursday to discuss the best ways of enhancing cooperation.
The meeting dealt with renewable energy projects done by Scatec in Egypt and the developments of the "Egypt's Green Hydrogen" project, according to Cabinet Media Center.
It also discussed an Egypt-Europe electricity interconnection project. The project would be backed by the Norwegian government and will help Egypt export electrical renewable energy to Europe with a capacity of about 3 GW.
Madbouly indicated Egypt’s keenness on cooperating with the Norwegian company given the deep experience it enjoys in the field of clean and renewable energy.
In turn, Scatec's CEO affirmed the great interest that the Norwegian company attaches to cooperation with Egypt in the field of green energy.
