Egypt's Non-oil Exports Grew by 50% during 2022

Egyptian industrial and non-oil commodity exports recorded a significant increase in 2022, reaching $35.2 billion, compared to $23.5 billion in 2021, an increase of nearly 50%, according to the latest reports on export and import control.

The Egyptian government worked to support exports, by disbursing EGP 16.7 billion to exporting companies, as part of the export reimbursement program, which contributed to maintaining the competitiveness of Egyptian products in various foreign markets.

The government aims to increase exports to 100 billion dollars annually, during the coming period, which is considered one of the main sources of hard currency.

Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir said that the government will work to benefit from African free trade agreements to increase Egypt's exports to the continent's markets and reach $15 billion in the coming years.

Egypt has succeeded in establishing 6 logistics centers in (Kenya - Morocco - Mauritius - Nigeria - Zambia - Algeria) out of a total of 12 targeted logistics centers, as the remaining 6 locations are currently being determined.
