Egypt was selected among the best 52 destinations to go in 2020, according to the New York Times.
The US newspaper attributed choosing Egypt to many reasons, topped by the opening of the much-expected Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in the last quarter of this year.
"The Egyptians are building like the pharaohs to finish the massive and much-anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum in time for its scheduled gala opening later this year," the newspaper reported.
At $1 billion, GEM will host 10,000 antiquities, 5,000 of them belong to King Tutankhamun, as well as a collection of artifacts that were being discovered recently.
