Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, met with Nasser Bourita, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the resumed 165th ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
During the meeting, Abdelatty emphasized the special nature of the bilateral relations and historical ties binding Egypt and Morocco.
Moreover, he underscored the commitment to continuously enhancing joint cooperation across various fields, reflecting the deep fraternal bonds between the two brotherly nations.
Abdelatty also praised the outcomes of the first session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee, noting that its results contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting economic, trade, and investment cooperation pathways between the two countries.
On the regional front, the meeting witnessed an exchange of views on several regional issues of mutual interest, including the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, as well as the situations in Sudan and Libya.
Both ministers affirmed the importance of continued coordination and consultation to support regional security and stability, while enhancing joint Arab and African action to address current challenges and achieve common interests.
For his part, Moroccan FM expressed his country's pride in the historical relations shared with Egypt, reaffirming Morocco's keenness to sustain joint action to boost bilateral cooperation and coordination on various issues of mutual concern.
