The Ministry of Health and Population suggested a set of precautionary measures that must be taken to protect children during the school period from infectious diseases, which are active at this time of the year.

These measures include adhering to social distancing and maintaining hand hygiene and making sure to ventilate the classes well.

The ministry revealed symptoms of respiratory diseases in children, which were runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting, and sore throat.

It called on citizens to consult a doctor when these symptoms appear, isolating the child and giving him the appropriate medicine until full recovery.

The ministry warned against the use of antibiotics without consulting a doctor and advised the need not to be exposed to a cold while eating a healthy diet in order to contribute to boosting the immune status of the child.
