Egypt, Microsoft Sign Agreement to Boost Digital Solutions

The National Telecommunications Holding Corporation (NTC) and Microsoft signed a joint cooperation agreement on Sunday with the aim of providing digital solutions to the Egyptian community through the National Telecommunications Company.

This came on the sidelines of the 24th Cairo International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition "Cairo ICT".

The cooperation protocol was signed by Abdel Hamid Mostafa, President of the National Telecommunications Company, and Mirna Arif, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt.

The agreement comes in line with the Egyptian state's strategy towards digital transformation and the provision of innovative technological services.

It is worth noting that the 24th Cairo Information and Communication Technology Exhibition kicked off on November 22nd at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, under the slogan “The Big Reset”, and it will be held until Nov. 25.

Several events were held on the sidelines of Cairo ICT 2020, including the PAFIX Conference and Exhibition for Financial Technology and Digital Inclusion. The conference is held under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, and discusses issues related to financial inclusion and security of digital payments.

The sixth session of the DSS Conference and Exhibition of Public Safety and Security will be held during the the exhibition. An innovation arena will be established for the fifth year in a row to allow the largest possible number of entrepreneurs and innovators to present their projects.
