On Friday, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, held phone calls with Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The discussions focused on the rapidly evolving situation in the region, particularly the Iranian crisis and its effects on regional security and stability, as well as recent developments in Sudan.

According to the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the talks included updates on the US-Iran negotiations and ongoing diplomatic efforts to reach a mutually acceptable settlement that addresses the concerns of all parties, including Gulf states, while enhancing regional security and stability.

Furthermore, the ministers addressed the situation in Sudan. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's strong and unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He affirmed the need to preserve Sudanese national institutions as the foundation for restoring security and stability and rejected the establishment of any parallel entities.

Abdelatty also affirmed the importance of achieving a humanitarian truce as a first step toward a sustainable ceasefire, which is essential for delivering humanitarian aid and supporting an inclusive political process led by Sudanese stakeholders. He concluded that security and stability must be restored to meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
