Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, recently received a phone call from Musalia Mudavadi, the Kenyan Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdelatty congratulated his Kenyan counterpart on the successful organization of the Africa-France Summit. He expressed hope that the outcomes of the summit would benefit the interests of the African continent.
Abdelatty also emphasized the importance of building on the results of the meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Kenyan counterpart, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and advance joint cooperation in various fields.
Furthermore, he mentioned the ongoing preparations for the El Alamein-Africa Forum, scheduled to take place in El Alamein in June 2026, coinciding with the African Union's mid-year coordination summit. Abdelatty expressed hope for the participation of major Kenyan companies in this forum.
The two ministers exchanged views on ways to enhance peace, security, and development across Africa. They agreed to support the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of both Somalia and Sudan and to strengthen efforts aimed at achieving stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
