On Saturday, Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, held a phone call with Murat Nurtleu, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss the ongoing military escalation in the region and its grave implications for regional security and stability.
During the call, Abdelatty reviewed the dangerous developments and their political, security, and economic consequences.
Moreover, he emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and the prioritization of diplomatic solutions to prevent the conflict from expanding or sliding into further instability.
Furthermore, Abdelatty stressed that continued military escalation would only exacerbate the situation, highlighting the importance of respecting state sovereignty, adhering to the principles of good neighborliness, and exercising maximum restraint.
Abdelatty also expressed Egypt’s total rejection of the "unacceptable and unjustified" attacks on brotherly Arab nations, reaffirming Cairo’s full support for their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
For his part, Kazakh FM stated that his country is monitoring regional developments with deep concern.

Additionally, he confirmed that Kazakhstan has not made any changes to its flight schedules or travel advisories for citizens heading to Egypt, noting that Egypt remains a safe destination despite the current regional tensions.
