Egypt's central bank (CBE) said on Thursday that it plans to issue $800 million in one-year dollar-denominated treasury bills on Monday, December 30.
The central bank said the auction will be settled the day after the offering.
The bank sold $980 million in dollar-denominated treasury bills in its last such auction on December 3, at a yield of 4.5%, after offering about $1.145 billion during the auction at a yield between 4.5% and 5.4%.
Earlier on Thursday, the central bank announced that it had kept interest rates unchanged for the sixth consecutive time at 27.25% for deposits and 28.25% for lending.
