CAIRO, Sept 12 (SEE)- Seventeen years after the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the entire world commemorates this event, and everyone begins to open his files in an attempt to uncover reality.

Egypt's Former Interior Minister Habib El-Adly said on one of his trails that he had warned the CIA about the attacks four months in advance.

"In May 2001, we received information that there were arrangements for a major terrorist attack inside the United States," he said.

El-Adly pointed out that the source of information was an agent from inside the al-Qaeda organization. He added that Former President Hosni Mubarak was notified about the information once verified.

According to El-Adli, he contacted the CIA and informed them about the attack. In August of that year, he communicated with the agency once more to warn them about the start of the operation's implementation phase.

Mubarak told former U.S. President George Bush, during a visit to the US in 2002 that Egypt had provided the CIA with information concerning the attacks. Bush and the intelligence agency denied and said that the information was reported orally and was not officially submitted.
