Cairo is hosting today and tomorrow the second ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum, bringing together representatives from more than 50 African countries in a broad ministerial-level participation, alongside several heads of regional organizations.

The conference builds on the momentum established during the first ministerial meeting, which was held in Sochi, Russia, in November 2024. The second edition focuses on strengthening cooperation between Russia and African countries across key areas, including economic, trade and investment collaboration, as well as efforts to support stability, peace and security and advance sustainable development.

Discussions are set to explore ways to enhance joint cooperation in trade, investment, energy and infrastructure, while also addressing issues of common concern related to security and stability across the African continent. Participants are expected to exchange views on mechanisms that support peace-building initiatives and development efforts, contributing to a more resilient and sustainable Russia–Africa partnership based on mutual interests.

On the sidelines of the conference, two side events will be held. The first will focus on the role of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development in strengthening cooperation with African countries, while the second will address trilateral cooperation and pathways toward achieving comprehensive and inclusive development.

The conference underscores Egypt’s role as a regional hub for dialogue and cooperation and reflects growing interest in deepening Russia–Africa relations amid evolving regional and international dynamics.
