Egypt Hosts Ministers of Gas Exporting Countries Forum Next Week

Egypt will host the 24th ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum from Sunday to next Tuesday.

The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Tarek El -Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Ministerial Council of the Forum for 2022.

El-Molla said, "The meeting, which takes place at an important time, days before the global climate summit (COP27) in Egypt, and the global dialogue on energy transition, is an opportunity to emphasize the forum's role in achieving more cooperation and coordination among member states, which possess a large proportion from reserves, production and exports globally to lead the natural gas industry responsibly to secure energy supplies.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt issued today, Friday, the meeting includes oil and energy ministers from 11 member states and 8 states as observers.
