Study: Cairo Launched 26 Projects to Transform Green Economy at Cost of $14.7 Billion

A recent study revealed that the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh No. 27 came as a gateway to implementation for all previous climate summits through the implementation of several steps.

The National Climate Change Strategy 2050, which Egypt launched this year, includes more than 26 priority projects until 2050, which constitute an important framework for the transition to a green economy.

The study confirmed that the total cost and targeted investments are about $14.7 billion, distributed as a huge project in the energy sector, 5 projects in the food security sector, 3 projects in the water security sector, about $10 billion for the energy sector, about $1.35 for the water sector, and about $3.35 for the agriculture and food security sector for a total of about $14.7 billion.
