Defense Ministers (DMs) of Egypt, Greece, Cyprus will hold a tripartite meeting next Friday to discuss Turkish violations in the eastern Mediterranean region, as well as recent terrorist attacks in other countries, Al-Arabiya News reported.

Earlier today, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi held talks with his Greek counterpart Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the prime minister.

After her meeting with President Sisi, Sakellaropoulou revealed that the talks tackled the dangerous Turkish escalation in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The Greek president also added that the relations between Egypt and Greece have been further boosted last August, through the signing of a deal to secure the maritime borders between both countries.

It is worth mentioning that, Egyptian presidency spokesman Bassam Rady stated that Sisi held extensive discussions with the Greek President, in the presence of the delegations of the two countries.

Sisi expressed Egypt’s aspiration to deepen and strengthen bilateral relations, especially at the economic and commercial levels, by maximizing the volume of Greek investments in Egypt.

“The President invited his Greek counterpart to visit Egypt,” Rady noted.
