Egypt's government agreed to grant its citizenship to a large number of 15 Syrian people, in addition to granting it to a Palestinian and an Italian.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued a decision granting Egyptian citizenship to 17 expatriates to the country, including 15 Syrians, a Palestinian, and an Italian.
The decision was based on a number of laws relating to the entry and residence of foreigners in and out of the territory of the country and their amendments.
The laws overall, provide for the organization of cases for granting the examination of naturalization applications, defining their terms of reference, their work system, and the procedures and rules for submitting naturalization applications.
