Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Randa el Menshawy, held talks on Thursday with Olaf Hoffmann, chairman of Dorsc Global, and his accompanying delegation on prospects for joint cooperation in infrastructure and urban development projects.
During the meeting, Menshawy reviewed several ongoing projects in the drinking water, sanitation and urban development sectors, as well as investment opportunities available for cooperation with private sector firms and international companies in projects affiliated with the ministry.
The minister said the Ministry of Housing was keen to strengthen cooperation with leading international specialized companies and benefit from global expertise in implementing national projects, particularly in smart city planning, infrastructure development and project management.
She said the cooperation aligns with the state’s vision to achieve sustainable urban development and improve the quality of life for citizens under Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s development agenda.
Menshawy added that Egypt continues to prioritize the expansion of new cities and integrated urban communities alongside infrastructure projects implemented according to international standards, in line with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
In turn, Hoffmann praised the scale of development projects carried out in Egypt in recent years and expressed the company’s interest in expanding its operations in the country.
He said Dorsc Global was looking to cooperate with the Ministry of Housing on future projects, drawing on its international experience in engineering consultancy, project management and infrastructure development.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and examine proposed areas of cooperation in the coming period to support Egypt’s urban development plans and ensure projects meet high standards of quality and sustainability.
