Egypt’s Minister of Industry Engineer Khaled Hashem, held a meeting with President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt Emad El-Sonbaty, to discuss strengthening joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Chamber to attract new French projects to the Egyptian market, and to facilitate the access of Egyptian companies to the French market during the coming period.
In a statement, the Minister Khaled Hashem affirmed the Ministry of Industry's commitment to collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce, appriciating its role in strengthening ties between the Egyptian and French business communities and providing support to both French and Egyptian companies.
Khaled Hashem highlighted the importance of organizing joint trade missions to open new markets.
Hashem emphasized the Chamber's crucial role in assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access international markets, transferring and localizing French technology within Egyptian industry, and attracting French companies to enter the Egyptian market or encouraging existing French companies to expand.
The Minister Khaled Hashem added that the Ministry is keen to create an attractive and stable business environment for foreign investors as well as invite French companies to capitalize on Egypt's competitive advantages.
The minister also noted that the ministry plans to build a network of free trade agreements that will make Egypt a major gateway to African and Middle Eastern markets.
