President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on Sunday, a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron.

The call addressed ways to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and France.

Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's pride in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and the growing momentum in their relations.

He also noted the warm public reception that welcomed President Macron’s recent visit to Egypt to participate in the inauguration of the new headquarters of Senghor University in Alexandria, which reflects the special nature of Egyptian-French relations on both official and popular levels.

For his part, the French President expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi's efforts toward achieving comprehensive development in Egypt, praising his commitment to strengthening Egyptian-French relations across all fields of mutual interest.

Moreover, the two presidents also discussed the latest regional and international developments.

In this regard, President Sisi praised the close alignment of positions between Egypt and France on various issues of common concern.

He also commended French support for efforts aimed at reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause and the crisis in Lebanon, reviewing Egypt's ongoing efforts and vision in this regard.

Furthermore, President Sisi highlighted Egypt's intensive contacts with various concerned parties to ensure the success of efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement between the United States and Iran. This agreement aims to prevent a resurgence of escalation and lead to the restoration of security and stability in the region and neighboring brotherly Arab Gulf states.

He also emphasized the pillars of Egypt's stance in this framework, which is rooted in the principles of international law, respect for state sovereignty, and the self-determination of nations.
