Egypt Follows up Investigations Into Murder of Egyptian Teacher in Saudi Arabia

On Monday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the latest developments on the killing of an Egyptian citizen in Saudi Arabia, according to Sputnik news agency.

In a post on "Facebook", the ministry said that it is closely following up, in coordination with the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh, the latest updates on the murder of late Egyptian teacher Hany Abdel-Tawwab."

"The embassy continues its efforts, in cooperation with the Labor Representative Office in Riyadh, to obtain all the deceased’s dues and any compensation owed to his family in accordance with the provisions of Saudi law," the post added.

Moreover, the ministry offered its deep condolences to the family of the deceased, expressing confidence in the Saudi judiciary. It also affirmed its close follow-up to the ongoing investigations into the case.

It is worth mentioning that, Abdel Tawwab, an English language teacher died at a hospital in Riyadh, after being shot by one of his students.
