Egypt has exported a new shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on behalf of Shell to Greece, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced on Saturday.
In an official statement, the ministry said the cargo was shipped from the Idku LNG plant aboard the vessel GASLOG GIBRALTAR, carrying approximately 150,000 cubic meters of LNG.
The ministry emphasized that the shipment aligns with Egypt’s ongoing strategy to encourage foreign partners to invest further in gas exploration and production, while strengthening the country’s position as a regional hub for energy trade and distribution.
Egypt’s LNG exports have played a key role in supporting Europe’s energy diversification efforts, particularly amid ongoing shifts in global gas supply dynamics.
