ِAl-Sayed El-Quseir, the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture met with Teresa Efua Asangono, President of the Senate of Equatorial Guinea, and her accompanying delegation, as part of her desire to learn about the pioneering Egyptian experience in agriculture and food security.
El-Quseir reviewed the development witnessed by the agricultural sector in Egypt during the past ten years, where a short film was shown under the title “Egypt, the Land of Goodness,” which dealt with the national projects implemented by the state, including horizontal and vertical expansion projects, integrated farms for animal production, and agricultural wastewater treatment projects, as one of the non-traditional water resources, as well as sorting and packaging stations, milk collection centers, and the establishment of agricultural greenhouses.
Asangono said that agricultural development is a top priority for the Guinean state at this time and that she completely agrees with what the Egyptian side proposed to achieve integration between the two sides.
She pointed out the abundance of fertile agricultural land suitable for agriculture in Equatorial Guinea, which needs modern agricultural technologies that would contribute to increasing productivity, agricultural crops, especially for exporting, adding that the Egyptian side can help in providing these technologies to help achieve this integration.
