Ismail Omar Guelleh, Djibouti President received Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, today on the sidelines of his participation in the presidential inauguration ceremony on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly conveyed the greetings and congratulations of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to his Djiboutian counterpart on his re-election for a new term, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the great confidence placed in him by the Djiboutian people in recognition of his leadership and role in achieving comprehensive development.
Madbouly also renewed President El-Sisi’s invitation to the Djiboutian President to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity to enhance the political momentum characterizing the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations across various levels.
During the meeting, Madbouly emphasized the depth of the historical and brotherly relations between the two countries, which are built on solid foundations of cooperation, mutual respect, and a common destiny.
Moreover, he affirmed Egypt’s commitment to continuous coordination with Djibouti on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Furthermore, PM discussed several pillars of strategic cooperation, including the development of ports and free zones, the enhancement of infrastructure and logistics, and collaboration in the sectors of electricity, energy, economy, agriculture, and healthcare services to benefit both nations.
For his part, Djibouti President affirmed that the relationship between the two countries represents a model for cooperation supported by historical, cultural, and political ties.
