Trucks carrying Egypt’s 121st humanitarian aid convoy began moving on Tuesday from Egypt toward the Gaza Strip, in preparation for entry through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
The convoy is part of the ongoing “Zad Al-Ezza Convoys from Egypt to Gaza,” as Egypt continues to deliver urgent relief to Palestinians in the besieged enclave. Since the early hours of the day, hundreds of trucks loaded with thousands of tons of humanitarian assistance have been mobilized.
The aid includes food baskets and basic commodities, medical supplies and medicines, as well as petroleum products such as diesel, gas and gasoline. The convoy also carries essential shelter materials, including tents, blankets, mattresses and bedding, aimed at helping Gaza’s residents cope with severe weather conditions.
The Gaza Strip has witnessed a sharp cold wave accompanied by heavy rainfall in recent days, further aggravating the humanitarian situation. Shelter supplies are being delivered on a daily basis through Egyptian territory into the Palestinian territories via the Kerem Shalom crossing, which is designated for the entry of humanitarian and relief assistance.
On Monday, Egypt dispatched the 120th aid convoy under the same initiative, which also included food, medical and shelter assistance, in addition to fuel supplies. The continued movement of aid convoys underscores Egypt’s ongoing efforts to sustain the flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
