Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Enterprise Sector discussed with Yvonne Baumann, the Swiss ambassador to Cairo, and the accompanying delegation from the Swiss company TRS, opportunities for cooperation and possible partnership in the field of recycling used and damaged tires.
This came during the minister's reception of the ambassador and the accompanying delegation, according to the ministry's statement, today, Friday.
During the meeting, they discussed possible cooperation and partnership opportunities, and making the best use of them by recycling them and converting them into many products, and reducing the resulting pollutants.
The minister listened to a detailed explanation from the head of "TRS" about the company's solutions for the collection, treatment and recycling of tires through the development and implementation of innovative technologies and business processes, which makes it a source of a specialized chemical, "rubber powders", which are used in many industries.
Mahmoud Esmat stressed the ministry's interest in projects that rely on clean and environmentally friendly energy in line with the country's strategy for sustainable development, and in line with the recommendations of the COP27 Climate Summit, which was hosted by Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2022.
The Minister of Public Enterprise Sector pointed out the importance of the tire recycling project because it contributes to solving many problems, not only eliminating used tires, but also by converting them into products and materials used in many industries, in addition to the job opportunities and value that this project provides for the economy.
