The Egyptian Ministry of Immigration discussed solving the crisis of Egyptians stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) heading to Kuwait, who were stranded due to the disruption of air traffic.
The Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram led efforts to provide accommodation, care, and the needs to these people.
Makram explained that the ministry cooperates with civil society institutions and Egyptian businessmen within the framework of the initiatives to support and assist Egyptians abroad if necessary.
She added that this cooperation continues until the issuance of the Immigration Law, which the ministry has prepared and submitted to the Cabinet in preparation for presentation to the new parliament.
This law includes an emergency fund and an insurance umbrella for Egyptians abroad. Its role revolves around rapid intervention to provide support to the Egyptian citizens abroad if they suffer any kind of crisis or damage.
