The Ministry of Social Solidarity Nivine El Kabbag will begin disbursing the second batch of exceptional support, worth EGP 1,000 for 9,000 tourist guides each.

This payment will be allocated to tour guides who meet the eligibility criteria and are registered in the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities databases.

El-Kabbag stated that the first batch was disbursed in September to help the families of tour guides during the critical back-to-school season.

The minister added that coordination is underway with the Postal Authority to disburse the second batch on Feb. 21.

The minister explained that the number of tourist guides registered with the Ministry of Tourism is about 12,424.

Excluded from the funding are tourist guides, working in the government sector, retired people, those entitled to a pension, partners in a company, or those who are entitled to "Takaful & Karama" assistance program.

She added that this support comes within the framework of the Prime Minister’s directives to spend a four-month subsidy amounting to EGP 500 per month in two installments.
