The Executive Office of the Supreme Council for Digital Society held a meeting chaired by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The meeting discussed a number of important files related to supporting digital transformation to reach digital Egypt, in addition to reviewing the goals of the digital society, and the general vision for services, data, and applications.

Dr. Amr Talaat also referred to Egypt's progress in ranking the Digital Government Maturity Index for the year 2022, recently issued by the World Bank (WB).

Egypt was ranked among the group of leading countries in digital government with classification (A), which is the highest category in the index.

It is worth noting that the index measures four main axes of digital government, namely the provision of digital government services, support for basic government systems (automation), participation and digital communication with the citizen, and the enablers of digital government.
