Egypt's government has strongly condemned Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza, drawing attention to a recent attack on a school operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp. The assault caused numerous casualties, further escalating the already dire humanitarian crisis in the region.

In a statement, Egypt decried the targeting of UN facilities in occupied Palestinian territories, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and a disregard for global humanitarian principles. The government criticized the international community for its perceived inaction and double standards, which it argued undermine fundamental human values.

Beyond Gaza, Egypt also denounced Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, warning that such actions violate Lebanese sovereignty and risk deepening regional instability. Cairo stressed that these violations only complicate an already volatile situation in the Middle East.

Calling for immediate international action, Egypt emphasized the urgent need to activate accountability mechanisms to address these violations. It urged influential global actors to adopt a firm stance against Israeli aggression and to hold Israel accountable for its actions.

The statement reiterated Egypt's demand for Israel to respect international law and humanitarian standards by ceasing what it called unjustified and disproportionate attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. Egypt called on the global community to take decisive steps to prevent further escalation and alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the conflict.
