Ashraf Mounir, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Latin American Affairs received on Thursday Cuban Ambassador to Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernández to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and deepen cooperation between Cairo and Havana.

Fernández expressed her country's desire to provide the drug "Biomodulina T" to Egyptian citizens, as it has proven effective during clinical trials and emergency use, adding that the drug is easy to transport, store and does not require high cooling, unlike competing products from other countries.

The use of Biomodelin T has also been applied to groups at risk of contracting the coronavirus, such as the elderly, medical teams in nursing homes and mental health hospitals, as well as patients with related diseases.

Registered in Cuba since 1994, Biomodelin T is a natural biological medicine that strengthens the immune system, used in the treatment of recurrent respiratory infections in immunocompromised and elderly people and helps to reverse immune thinning "immunosenescence".
