Egypt continues its efforts to provide medical assistance to injured and sick individuals from the Gaza Strip. Today, a new group of 33 patients arrived through the Rafah border crossing, accompanied by 70 escorts.
The patients were immediately transported to hospitals in North Sinai, where they are receiving the necessary medical care. Egyptian authorities, in coordination with medical teams, are ensuring that all urgent cases receive prompt attention.
This move is part of Egypt’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support Palestinian civilians affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Egyptian hospitals have been receiving and treating patients from the strip since the escalation of violence, providing life-saving medical interventions and care.
Officials confirmed that medical teams are on standby at the Rafah crossing to assess incoming cases and arrange their transfer to specialized facilities. The Egyptian government, alongside humanitarian organizations, continues to work on facilitating medical evacuations and delivering aid to those in need.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, with hospitals overwhelmed due to shortages of medical supplies and personnel. Egypt’s role in providing medical support has been widely recognized as a crucial lifeline for those unable to access adequate treatment within the besieged enclave.
