On Thursday, Egypt congratulated the US on the Independence Day, 4th of July.
"We extend our sincere congratulations to the government & people of the United States of America, on the occasion of the Independence Day," the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It added: "We look forward to strengthening the strategic partnership & developing various aspects of cooperation between the 2 countries."
