Egypt condemned the attack targeting United Nations Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) in southeast of the country, which resulted in death of a Kenyan mission member.
Moreover, Egypt affirmed its firm position rejecting the targeting of UN peacekeeping missions and reiterated its support for the important role played by MINUSCA and its efforts to achieve peace and stability, as well as for countries contributing to UN peacekeeping operations.
Egypt also extended its deepest condolences to the government and people of the friendly Republic of Kenya for the death of a Kenyan member of the mission.
