Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in the Republic of Mali, which resulted in the death of the Malian Minister of Defense and several other casualties.
Moreover, Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the people and government of Mali in the face of the terrorist attacks and affirmed its condemnation of all attacks that undermine the security and stability of Mali.
It further underscored its firm stance against all forms of terrorism and extremism, emphasizing the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to combat the phenomenon, cut off its funding sources, and counter the extremist ideology that fuels it, particularly in the Sahel region and the African continent, within a comprehensive approach that links security and development.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Egyptian citizens in Mali to adhere to the instructions of the local authorities and to exercise caution to ensure their safety.
