Egypt condemned the continued Israeli military attacks in the West Bank, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians over the past few days.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration on Sunday, Egypt strongly denounced Israel's persistent efforts to expand confrontations within Palestinian territories, including the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the excessive use of military force, illegal killings, road demolitions, and destruction of civilian infrastructure and homes. Additionally, Egypt condemned the arrests accompanied by acts of torture.

The statement emphasized that these violations should not go unpunished, and that Israel must adhere to its legal obligations as an occupying power, ensuring the safety of Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories rather than escalating the conflict and fueling the violence.

Egypt renewed its warning against the dangers of a scorched-earth policy, aimed at undermining all foundations of a future Palestinian state and eradicating any remaining hope for the Palestinian people to reclaim their legitimate rights and establish their independent state along the June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Moreover, Egypt called on influential parties in the international community, including the UN Security Council, to take a firm stance to halt these illegal practices and provide protection for the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
