Egypt strongly condemned Israeli attacks inside Syrian territory, including shelling and strikes targeting areas in southern Syria, describing them as a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates said the attacks constituted a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Egypt reaffirmed its firm rejection of any actions that violate the sovereignty or territorial integrity of Arab states, stressing its longstanding position in support of respecting the independence and unity of countries across the region.
The ministry also renewed Egypt's full solidarity with Syria, underscoring its support for all efforts aimed at preserving the country's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following Israeli military operations inside Syria, which have raised concerns over the potential for further escalation and their impact on regional stability.
Egypt has consistently called for respect for the sovereignty of regional states and for resolving conflicts through political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law.
