Egypt on Sunday strongly condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan and Oman, describing them as a dangerous escalation that violated the sovereignty of both countries and threatened regional security.
In a statement, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates said the attacks, which saw missiles land inside Jordanian territory while drones targeted sites in Oman, marked a serious escalation that could further destabilize the Middle East.
Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with Jordan and Oman, stressing its support for both countries in safeguarding their security, stability, and territorial integrity against any threats.
The ministry also reiterated Cairo's firm rejection of any attacks on the sovereignty of Arab states, calling for an immediate halt to military escalation and actions that could fuel wider regional instability.
Egypt urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, prioritize political and diplomatic solutions, and comply with international law to preserve peace, security, and stability across the region.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing international concern over the potential for the conflict to expand beyond its current scope.
