Egypt Condemns Hostile Drone Attack on UAE

Egypt strongly denounced, on Thursday, the hostile drone attack that targeted the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which was successfully intercepted by the UAE Air Defense Forces.

“Egypt affirms its total rejection of these terrorist violations that undermine the pillars of security and stability in the Arab region,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Egypt also stressed full solidarity with the UAE against anything that could threaten its security and stability, according to the statement.

It also reiterated its stand by the UAE in its measures to protect its security and stability, the safety of its citizens and residents and the preservation of its sovereignty.

On Wednesday, the UAE intercepted and destroyed three “hostile drones” that targeted unnamed areas in the country, the Defense Ministry announced.

“MOD announces interception and destruction, away from populated areas, of three hostile drones that penetrated UAE airspace at dawn today, 2/2/2022," the ministry tweeted.
