Egypt strongly denounced, on Thursday, the hostile drone attack that targeted the Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport and was successfully intercepted by the Kingdom's forces and airport staff.

“Egypt affirms its total rejection of these terrorist violations that undermine the pillars of security and stability in Saudi Arabia,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, asserting that these attacks undermine the freedom of air navigation and the safety of civilians.

Furthermore, Egypt stressed full solidarity with the Kingdom against anything that could threaten its security and stability, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.

12 people were injured in a drone attack by Houthi militia targeting Abha International Airport. The drone was intercepted buy the Saudi forces and airport staff.

In a statement, the Saudi-led coalition pointed out that most of the attacks had been foiled before reaching their targets, adding that it will take firm action in response to threats against civilians and travelers.
