Egypt strongly condemned the drone attack that targeted the vicinity of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates, describing the incident as a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.

According to the Egyptian statement, the attack caused a fire in an electricity generator located outside the plant’s internal perimeter after a drone struck the surrounding area.

Egyptian authorities denounced what they described as a blatant attack on the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates and reiterated Cairo’s full solidarity with the Emirati leadership and people.

The statement stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and Gulf countries remains an integral part of Egypt’s national security, reaffirming Egypt’s longstanding support for the stability and safety of its regional allies.

The incident has raised renewed concerns over the security of critical infrastructure and energy facilities in the Gulf amid escalating regional tensions and ongoing threats involving drones and missile attacks.
