Egypt strongly condemned the acts of riot and attempted sabotage targeting the headquarters of the United Arab Emirates’ mission and the residence of the Head of the Mission in Damascus.
Moreover, Egypt emphasized the imperative of respecting international law and ensuring the protection and security of diplomatic missions, their premises, and their personnel, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
It further asserted that any targeting of diplomatic missions constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.
Additionally, Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and underscores the necessity of taking all required measures to ensure the protection and security of diplomatic missions under the provisions of international law.
