The Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Liao Liqiang, said on Saturday that Beijing is keen to boost cooperation with Cairo in the digital economy and communication technology, among others.
This came during the Chinese ambassador’s meeting with Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat.
Moreover, the Chinese diplomat added that over the past few years, the political trust between China and Egypt has been constantly enhanced, and their practical cooperation has yielded remarkable results.
He also stressed that Beijing would encourage Chinese companies to come and invest in Egypt, facilitating the country’s digital transformation as well as social and economic development.
On his part, Talaat praised the depth of the Egyptian-Chinese ties, pointing out that the bilateral cooperation between them in the field of communications and Information Technology (IT) witnessed a boom in recent years.
In addition, the Egyptian minister expressed his hope that both countries would be able to enhance their cooperation and explore new horizons for cooperation in areas of common interest.
