CAPMS: Egypt's Trade Balance Declined in September 2022 by 41.3%

The monthly bulletin of foreign trade data for September 2022, issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) today, Monday, showed that the value of the trade balance deficit amounted to $2.44 billion last September, compared to $4.15 billion for the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 41.3%.

The bulletin indicated that the value of Egypt's exports increased by 11.6%, reaching $4.11 billion during September 2022, compared to $3.68 billion for the same month of the previous year. Ready by 9.2%, and plastics in their primary forms by 3.9%.

On the other hand, the value of exports of some commodities decreased during the month of September 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year, the most important of which are petroleum products by 29.3%, crude oil by 47.0%, various pasta and food preparations by 22.6%, and medicines and pharmaceuticals by 25.5%.
