Egypt has called on its citizens in Somaliland to leave as soon as possible via Hargeisa Airport.
It stressed that the current security situation in Somaliland limits the ability to provide any consular assistance to Egyptians there, according to Cairo News Channel in an urgent news item.
Egypt also called on those wishing to visit any of the regions of the Federal Republic of Somalia to fully adhere to the controls and procedures determined by the competent authorities of the Federal Government of Somalia.
