The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue experiencing a wave of unstable weather on Thursday.
The wave is accompanied by rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder and hailstorm falling, and a 3:4 drop in temperature.
The weather will gradually improve beginning Thursday evening and would improve and stabilize significantly by Friday.
Moderately cold weather will prevail across the country during the daylight hours.
The western Sahara, the Red Sea governorate, and the south of the country will experience gusts of wind reaching speeds of 30 to 50 km/h, limiting horizontal visibility to less than 1,000 meters.
Light rainfall will prevail in central and south Upper Egypt and the south of the Red Sea governorate at intermittent period.
Light to moderate rain also forecast to hit Cairo, South Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, central and south Sinai, and the North Upper Egypt.
Moderate rainfall is expected in the North Coast, North Lower Egypt, South Sinai, the Gulf of Suez, and the north of the Red Sea governorate.
Torrential rain accompanied by thunder is expected in the Northeastern Coast.
The Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves ranging between 2 and 3 in height with northwest surface winds.
Waves in the Red Sea will be turbulent, ranging between 2.5 and 3 meters in height with northwest surface winds.
Cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 18° in Cairo, 19°C in Alexandria, 17°C in Marsa Matruh, 21°C in Sohag, 21°C in Qena, and 24°C in Aswan.
